Mission, Benevolence, and Out Reach

Crescent HIll is very active in response to the Great Comminssion.   Crescent HIll reaches out to many in our neighborhood and surrounding areas.   We have a tremendous benevolence program to help those less fortunate, especially when the need is so great.

MISSIONS:
We seek out opportunites to support missions, not only with financial help, but by serving those in our immediate community and even as far away as Nicaragua and Alaska.  Many members of our church take frequent mission trips.  Other missions supported by our church are: Victory Ranch, Family Shelter, School, Home for Unwed Mothers, Christmas Shoe Box Ministry, Ronald McDonald's Home, Palmetto Place for Children.

HELP FOR THE HOMELESS AND NEEDY:

Food Pantry -
Our church has an active Food Pantry.  The congregation, and others in the community, donate canned and dried goods that allows us to provide food for needy families.  We are able to serve 30-40 families with groceries each time the Food Pantry doors are opened.  That is love in action!

Clothes Closet -
Members of Crescent Hill have collected a virtual storehouse of used clothing.  Our purpose is to meet the needs of families who do not have enough clothing to wear.  During a long cold winter, many people can say literally that they feel the "warmth" of our love.

Other Benevolence -
In certain situations, the church also helps desperate families with electricity bills, rent, school supplies, and other needs that they may have.  We especially reach out to those families with children who can not afford Christmas.

Out Reach -
A group of concerned church members visits in homes of people throughout the city.  Why?  Because we are interested in people.  It is our objective to meet people's needs and by visiting in their homes, we are able to learn what their real needs are.  It is love, that is willing to go where people are.
